PVC Coatings
Bubbles and wrinkles in stainless steel PVC coatings (polyvinyl coatings) that are applied to stainless steel can damage the surface of the metal during stamping and forming. Not all PVC applicators are created equal.
In early 2010, Stainless Sales Corporation installed new PVC applicators to serve its surface-critical customers. This equipment controls the pressure and the rate at which the PVC is applied.
Stainless Sales Corporation stocks the following stainless steel PVC coatings:
| Manufacturer | Thickness (mm) | Color | Outdoor Exposure | Application |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3M 25A25B | 2.5 | Blue | Limited | Moderate tack, appliance grade stainless steel & bright annealed |
