Heavy Gauge Slitting

Stainless Sales Corporation classifies its heavy gauge slitting capabilities as follows:

8-.250” Gauge – heavy gauge slitting (in-house)
.250”-.400” Gauge – extra heavy gauge slitting (outside processors)

Some of our heavy gauge users request that we make flat bar by slitting from coil and then cutting to length. Often the slit edge and width tolerances are better than flat bar stock that is sheared from plate or sheet.
